How to do Friday night at Munson
Tickets, gates, bags, and the little rules that keep 6,500 people moving on Crawford Street.
Friday, August 28, 2026 · The Stinger

Munson Stadium sits at 326 West Crawford, downtown, a short walk from the old brick storefronts. Capacity is listed at 6,500. On Ax night it will feel smaller than that.
Tickets are online only through HomeTown Ticketing: $8 adults, $5 students. They went on sale Aug. 17. Gates open one hour before kickoff — 6 p.m. tonight. There is no in-and-out without a hand stamp.
Home fans use the west gates at Forrest Park. Visiting fans use the east gates on S. Rusk. Crossing from one side to the other is only allowed through the south gated walkway before kickoff and at halftime.
Bags: clear, and they will be searched. No individual coolers, glass, or outside food. Service animals with documentation are the exception on the animal rule. The press box opens 90 minutes before kickoff and is closed to anyone without prior approval.
The Jackets warm up at the north end, toward the field house. Sherman gets the south end, toward the scoreboard. Kickoff is 7 p.m. CDT. If you have not been in a while: it is still the same lights, the same grass, the same walk up Crawford. That is the point.
